Looking To Vacation? Why Not Try Peru!

As far as travel goes I’m pretty wellrounded. I have visited almost every single state in the US plus I have visited a few other places as well such as Italy Rome Australia and you guessed it Peru. If I had to make a top ten list it would be incredibly hard considering there are so many beautiful places to visit on the planet but if I absolutely had to I would definitely pick Peru and place it somewhere between Japan and Rome. Peru is located in South America and is home to nearly 29 million people. However large this may seem just think there is about 6 billion people on earth so it’s just a small fraction!

Peru is the “land of gold” and the sun worshipping Incas in fact Peru was the major source of treasure for the Europeans and was once home of the largest empire in the entire world. Most individuals visualize the country as mountainous but many are completely unaware of the incredibly immense desert coastline and the vast amount of tropical rain forest. The Andes which are over seven thousand meters high and 400 kilometers wide ripple the entire distance of the country.

Planning a trip to this country is of course cheaper than a trip to say Europe but how you spend will depend on where you are and when. Most guides tell you that you should be able to get around on just 10 to 20 a day per person. A good meal can be found for around 3 transport is incredibly reasonable a comfortable double room costs about 1035 a night and camping is usually free. Expect to pay a little more than usual in the larger towns and cities and also in the jungle as many supplies have to be imported by truck from other regions.

If you are looking for attractions should see landmarks or want to know if there are any special festivities going on it’s a good idea to visit the official Peruvian website however I am actually capable of giving you a heads up about a few places I visited when I was there! If you are into Museums the two best places you can take a look at are Museo de la Nacion as well as Museo Larco. The first choice has a lot more exhibits but the second one also includes some really cool exhibits anyone would be lucky to take a gander at! The Indian market located in Lima is considered to have the largest collection of market stalls than any other market in the country. If you are looking for more expensive types of items you can also visit Miraflores on Avenida Petit Thouars blocks 5154 as well.

Also just as a little tidbit of extra info the wet season months are October April and the dry season months are May September there is of course some rain during the dry season but its much more frequent in the wet season. If you want to visit several different locations in Peru it’s a good idea to travel in and around the dry months because sometimes the rain makes it difficult to travel in. All in all Peru is a really great place to visit if you are looking for a vacation. Have fun planning your trip!
