Enjoy A Sunshine Break In Lanzarote

There are few holiday destinations around the world that can match Lanzarote for dramatic scenery. As this small Canary Island boasts a big volcanic region, created by eruptions centuries ago. Which dominates the interior of the island.

Lanzarote was famously rocked by eruptions in the 1730´s – and these events reshaped the topography of the island. Replacing farms and villages with lava fields and burnt out peaks. Causing widespread devastation and hardship at the time.

Today however this region is one of the most popular National Parks in Spain. Attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to the lunar like landscapes here every year.

Lanzarote is situated close to the Tropic of Cancer in the Atlantic Ocean. A location which helps to generate wonderful weather whatever the time of year. Making the island a popular choice during both the winter and summer months.

Getting To Lanzarote
There are ferries and cruise services to the island. But the vast majority of visitors arrive on flights to Lanzarote. With the majority originating in either the UK, Eire or Germany.

The cost of returns to the island from British airports has fallen considerably this year thanks to the introduction of cheap fares from Ryanair. Making it possible to pick up returns for as little as £9.99.
