Barbados sited near the Caribbean Sea and is the furthest east of all the islands in that region and is famous for its palm trees and white sandy beaches that slope gently into the islands calm and tranquil seas. Popular belief is that the name Barbados means beardedones but there is controversy on where the name actually came from. Some believe it was named after a fig trees long hanging roots and some propose it is named after the foam spraying over the reefs that take the form and the shape of a beard.
There are many ways of exploring the island of Barbados taking a helicopter flight is just one of the ways where you can see the islands shorelines and countryside from a great view a striking part to your getaway.
On your break to the sultry island of Barbados you must try out scuba diving whether your experienced or not it doesnt matter. You will get the chance to discover the underwater world and swim with tropical fishes and turtles. Nonetheless if you wish to keep your head above water there are many boat cruises that will take you on a tour of the island settle down and take great delight in the trip of a lifetime while you can bronze up your body. On offer are also evening tours which are great for those romantic moments where you get the chance to see Barbados in lights and also land expeditions that will take you by coach to the hotspots on the island.

The chefs on the island use a sundry of reliable dishes and combine Mediterranean Caribbean and Eastern flavours to create a range of scrumptious cuisines to satisfy you. So whether it is a hearty breakfast on the beach or a beautiful evening dinner you are sure to remember.
Barbados has a lot to offer in terms of accommodation from apartments hotels and guest houses and they all offer luxury amenities and comfortable beds. However if you are looking for exclusive luxury there are many chances to hire villas around certain areas of the island many of which are to be found on the sea shores.
